Academic Education:

B.Sc., Biology with Minor in Chemistry, Quinnipiac University, Hamden, CT (2007)

Professional Appointments:

Senior Research Associate, Benson-Henry Institute, Center for Engineering in Medicine, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA (2007- 2011)

Research Interests:

I am currently looking at the differentiation of radia glia in the regenerating spinal cord of the brown ghost knifefish Apteronotus leptorhynchus.

Prior to joining Northeastern University and the research group of Günther Zupanc, I looked at the effect of burn injury and brain development in a rat model of stress and resiliency for the Benson-Henry Institute at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Other Interests:

I am an avid runner. I have run the Boston Marathon twice in the past four years, and hope to run it again in the future. I am currently addicted to the Ragnar Relay running series. My friends and I have decided that we are going to see the country by running a Ragnar Relay in each state where it is offered. We have currently run relays in New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Florida.
